Parsing Options Tutorial
Parsing Options define how LinkMatch extracts data from a LinkedIn (or XING) profile and populates corresponding fields to your CRM. Properly configuring these settings helps ensure the most relevant information is captured.
The Parsing Options are on the LinkMatch Options Page: LinkMatch Options Page.
Parsing Options enable LinkMatch to grab specific information from a LinkedIn profile (such as first name, last name, current position, or location) and place it into the correct CRM fields. By mapping the proper LinkedIn fields to the correct CRM fields, you avoid duplication, minimise errors, and keep your data well-organised.

• There is no one-size-fits-all mapping. Feel free to arrange the fields in whatever way best suits your workflow.
• If a field is not mapped in Parsing Options (empty), that field will not receive any data during creation or updates (aside from a few exceptions).
• You can copy your setup from one user to another through the dashboard. If you are on a free plan or unsure how to do this, please contact team@linkmatch.com.
There are 2 sections:
• On the left (boxes): CRM fields (where data will be stored).
• On the right (column): LinkedIn fields (the data LinkMatch captures).
You can map them in one of two ways:
• Drag and drop: Drag the LinkedIn field from the right panel onto your desired CRM field on the left.
• Click the + button next to each CRM field to select which LinkedIn data should be placed there.
If your CRM does not have all the fields you want to capture (for example, LinkedIn URL), you can create custom CRM fields directly in your CRM. After creating a new field there, refresh the LinkMatch Options Page. Your newly created field will appear among the available CRM fields and be ready for mapping.
You can set a default field value. If no data is captured from LinkedIn, this default value will be used instead. This feature is helpful for fields like status or default tags.
LinkMatch allows you to automatically create deals, tasks, or pipelines when saving a LinkedIn profile. In the Parsing Options, you can enable auto-create and map additional details (such as titles, due dates, etc). This way, tasks or deals get created every time you add a new LinkedIn contact without an additional click, improving your workflow automation.
let you prepend custom text to an existing LinkedIn field (for example, “Found on LinkedIn:”) before placing it into your CRM’s “Notes” area. By entering this phrase and mapping it to the LinkedIn “Summary” field, you create a consistent note structure every time. LinkMatch appends the LinkedIn summary after the custom phrase whenever a profile is saved, ensuring clear and uniform CRM records.

Prefix parsed data with the field names when more than 1 field mapped
This setting ensures each piece of data is labelled with its corresponding field name whenever multiple LinkedIn fields are mapped to the same CRM field. For example, if you map both “Headline” and “Current position” to one CRM field, LinkMatch displays “Headline: CEO, Current position: Google” for clarity.
Normalize LinkedIn address info for person profiles
This option automatically converts addresses to a standardised English form. For instance, “Deutschland” becomes “Germany,” keeping location data consistent.
Create the company as Pipedrive (or other CRM) Organization from the Contacts profile
LinkMatch automatically creates a corresponding organisation in Pipedrive (or other CRM) when saving a contact from LinkedIn. This ensures the contact is always linked to the appropriate organisation with minimal manual effort.
Automatically check for LinkedIn profile updates when viewing the Contacts profile
LinkMatch scans for any changes in the person’s LinkedIn details whenever you view that contact’s CRM record on LinkedIn. If new information is found, you can seamlessly update your CRM data.
Automatically parse profile picture
When saving a LinkedIn profile, LinkMatch fetches the avatar and stores it in your CRM (if supported).
• If a field you expect to see in Parsing Options does not appear, ensure the field is created in your CRM and visible to your user account.
• Confirm you have the correct field type (for example, a URL field for LinkedIn URLs, a text field for location, etc.).
• Refreshing or reloading the LinkMatch Options Page helps the system fetch any recent changes from your CRM.
