Fixing "Some required fields have no default value assigned" error

This error occurs because specific fields marked as required in your CRM are missing default values during bulk parsing. Required fields are set within your CRM and cannot be left empty when saving data.

Error message

Example: The "Company" Field

During bulk parsing, some LinkedIn profiles may not have a company listed. Since the "Company" field is required, LinkMatch cannot save the data unless it is populated. To resolve this, you must assign a default value, such as "No company," to ensure all profiles are processed successfully.

How to Resolve

Navigate to the Parsing Options section on the Options Page.
Assign a default value for the "Company" field (e.g., "No company").

Refresh LinkedIn (F5).
Retry the bulk parsing process to ensure all profiles, even those missing LinkedIn data, are saved correctly.

Assigning default values ensures all required fields are populated and eliminates errors during bulk parsing.

Note: Making Fields Non-Required in Your CRM

If you'd prefer not to assign a default value, you can make the field non-required directly in your CRM. Here's a quick guide for popular CRMs:

Pipedrive: Go to Settings > Custom Fields > Locate the field > Uncheck "Required."
Zoho CRM: Navigate to Setup > Modules and Fields > Edit the field > Set "Required" to "No."
HubSpot: Go to Settings > Properties > Edit the field > Uncheck "Required."
Close.io: Navigate to Settings > Custom Fields > Edit the field > Disable "Required."

After making these changes:

Refresh the LinkMatch Options Page (press F5).
Refresh LinkedIn to apply the updated configuration.
This ensures LinkMatch can handle the field correctly during bulk parsing without requiring default values.
